The Roman god of the sea, Neptune, is at the center of an elaborate fountain in front of the Library of Congress Thomas Jefferson Building. His sons, the Tritons, are blowing conch shells while other creatures of the sea surround him. The fountain's sculptor was Roland Hinton Perry and the work dates to 1895.
