Edmund Burke was an Irish-English statesman sympathetic to the American rebellion who is now regarded as the philosophical founder of modern conservatism. This statue is a copy of the Bristol, England original by James Havard Thomas and was cast in 1922 as a gift from the Lord Mayor of London.
