This is the fenale of two virtually indentical griffins outside the former Acacia Life Insurance Bldg who hold eggs between the front paws to symbolize guardianship. This 1936 example of the mythical beasts in a streamline style by Edmond Romulus Amateis was dedicated in 1936.
