The names on the polished granite of the Vietnam War Memorial are still sought out by loved ones to honor those they lost. A section of the wall shows a few of the names of fallen soldiers etched into the poiished granite of the memorial wall. Designed by Maya Lin, the memorial was dedicated in 1982.
